We typically receive a 60-day authorization period to complete your child’s initial assessment. Whenever possible, our team works to complete the assessment sooner so services can move forward without unnecessary delays.

Yes! We may provide ABA services in your child’s school when support in that setting is clinically appropriate and medically necessary, your child’s school permits outside ABA providers on campus, and the service is authorized by your insurance provider. Our team can work with your family and school to help determine whether school-based services are appropriate for your child’s individual needs.

The length of ABA therapy is different for every individual and is based on their unique needs, progress, and treatment goals. At Rooted Growth Behavioral Health, we provide evidence-based ABA services to individuals up to 21 years of age throughout Alameda County.

Your child’s treatment plan includes a discharge criteria that help guide when services may be reduced or your child may be ready to graduate from ABA. These criteria typically consider factors such as a meaningful reduction in challenging behaviors, progress toward treatment goals, increased independence, and caregivers’ ability to confidently use strategies and support their child across everyday situations.

Our goal is not for ABA to continue indefinitely, but to help your child and family build meaningful, lasting skills while gradually fading support when it is clinically appropriate to do so.

Availability varies based on your location and preferred service times. Because many children attend school during the day, our afternoon hours are currently in high demand, and we do have a waiting list for some afternoon services.
